Among other works, she has written Hamburgers in Paradise (Princeton University Press, 2015; Laffont, 2015) and the novels The Cosmpolitans, The Utopians (2007), The Idealists (2018) and Our Food (2023). During her long career, she has been Chairman of the Executive Board at Wageningen University &amp; Research and the Director of Research at the Agriculture Department of the UN’s FAO, which leads international efforts to defeat hunger. In 2022, she was appointed Commander in the Order of the Netherlands in recognition of her social commitment.

Louise O. Fresco is one of the Netherlands’ most influential voices when it comes to food and agriculture.
