Ludwig Volbeda
Illustrator and visual artist Ludwig Volbeda made his picture-book debut with De Vogels (2016), a book he created with Ted van Lieshout.
Soon after that, he made his big breakthrough with illustrations for books by Benny Lindelauf and Floortje Zwigtman, winning the Woutertje Pieterse Prize and two Gouden Penseel awards. Oever is his debut as a YA novelist and proof that he can write as sensitively as he illustrates; his writing is distinctive, imaginative and pitch perfect.
