Arita Baaijens
Arita Baaijens (b.1956) is an explorer, writer and photographer.

She is a member of the Royal Geographical Society, the Explorers Club and the Long Riders Guild. She has over 25 desert expeditions to her credit. Her Desert Songs (2008) was translated into English and German. Thames & Hudson’s 2013 title The Modern Explorers includes a chapter on Baaijens.
