Victor Schiferli (1967) is responsible for the promotion of fiction and Dutch and Frisian poetry and classics worldwide.

Schiferli studied at the University of Amsterdam and worked previously as an advisor at the NLPVF (1992-2001) and an editor at De Bezige Bij (2001-2007). Before re-joining the foundation in 2011, he worked as a freelancer, writing for newspapers and magazines, compiling anthologies and editing the literary journal Bunker Hill. He made his debut as a poet in 2000 with Aan een open raam, followed in 2005 by Verdwenen obers and in 2008 by Toespraak in een struik. In 2012 he published his first novel, Dromen van Schalkwijk. In 2015 he published De man van vroeger, a collection of poems and photographs.
