Schwob brings quality literature from all points of the compass to the attention of Dutch readers, editors and publishers. There are important books that remain unknown to us, books we never hear or read about and that are unavailable in Dutch. Schwob.nl is a showcase website for these forgotten or undiscovered books. Schwob is created by translators into and out of Dutch, foreign publishers and editors, researchers, readers and critics.
They are ready to share their knowledge about this essential literature and to introduce you to undiscovered masterpieces from all over the world through the website and its monthly newsletter. Book reviews, biographies and essays are accompanied by translated extracts and information about translation rights, sales figures, prizes and foreign institutions that provide translation subsidies. Unknown literature becomes visible on the Dutch website Schwob.nl.
