Amsterdam Translators' House

The Translators’ House in Amsterdam welcomes translators from Dutch literature (all genres) into any language, who want to improve or maintain their language skills and their knowledge of Dutch culture. The Translators’ House is an ideal base for translators wishing to do research for a translation project, to consult their author(s) or to meet publishers.

Applications for a stay can be made by translators on the List of Approved Translators (from the Dutch Foundation for Literature and Flanders Literature) who have a contract for a new translation of a work of Dutch literature.

The Amsterdam Translators House has been closed for renovation and will reopen on 21 June 2023. Applications for a stay are now welcomed. If you wish to apply for the second half of 2023 we kindly urge you to make your application before Monday 3 April 2023.
