Jan Konst

Jan Konst (b. 1963) is a literary scholar specialised in Dutch literature and works at the Freie Universität of Berlin, where he holds the Chair of Dutch Philology: Literary Studies. His publications discuss early modern literature, Dutch-German literary relations and contemporary literature in the Netherlands and Flanders.

The focus of three of his published books is on Germany and recent German history: Iedereen is op Weg naar de Brandenburger Tor (Everyone is heading to the Brandenburger Tor – Dutch and Flemish Authors about Berlin), Alles Waan (A Delusionary World – Louis Ferron and the Third Reich), and De Wintertuin (The Winter Garden – A German Family in the Long Twenthieth Century).
