Reinier Sonneveld
Reinier Sonneveld is an expert in religion studies and screenwriter who has written extensively for adults and, more recently, for children.
He regularly gives lectures and presentations at schools, exploring myths and fairy tales from around the world and the meanings behind them.
His children’s debut, The Secrets of Star City (2026), received widespread critical acclaim. His latest book, The Treasure of Shadowtown (2026), is the second title in his Uncity series, but can also be read as a standalone. The third book in the series will explore the historical Children's Republic of Gaudiopolis, a village run solely by orphans in post-war Budapest.
