Poetry specialist and coordinator international literary events in Germany
Victor Schiferli (1967) specializes in Dutch and Frisian poetry. He is also responsible for the coordination of literary events in Germany.
Schiferli studied at the University of Amsterdam and worked previously as an advisor at the NLPVF (1992-2001) and an editor at De Bezige Bij (2001-2007). Before re-joining the foundation in 2011, he worked as a freelancer, writing for newspapers and magazines, compiling anthologies and editing the literary journal Bunker Hill. He made his debut as a poet in 2000 with At an Open Window, followed in 2005 by Disappeared Waiters and in 2008 by Speech in a Bush. In 2012 he published his first novel, Dreams of Schalkwijk.
