Anja Meulenbelt

Anja Meulenbelt (1945) is one of the Netherlands' most influential feminist writers and thinkers. Her 1976 debut De schaamte voorbij brought her international recognition and launched a writing career spanning more than fifty books. She has worked as a teacher and coach across Europe, founded the feminist publishing house Sara, and was a member of the Dutch Senate from 2003 to 2011.
