Bregje Hofstede

Bregje Hofstede (b. 1988) is a writer and journalist, whose debut novel The Sky Above Paris received excellent reviews and was translated into German and Danish. She followed this with Drift, which was nominated for the Libris Literature Prize and also published in German. Her next book was The Rediscovery of the Body, in which she examines her own burnout. For De Correspondent, she regularly writes on the topic of New Feminism. The English translation of Hofstede’s autobiographical essay Mountain was published as a chapbook in 2020 by Strangers Press and explores love and childhood, nostalgia and hope.
