Sjeng Scheijen

Sjeng Scheijen (b. 1972) is a Slavist and a specialist on Russian art. He was cultural attaché at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Moscow (2007-2009), and artistic director of the year Russia - Netherlands in 2012. He is the author of the widely-acclaimed biography Diaghilev, A Life (translated into English by Jane Hedley-Prole and Steve Leinbach) which was published in six languages and hailed almost unanimously as the definitive life of Diaghilev. It sold more than 45,000 copies.
