The illustrations of Charlotte Dematons (b. 1957) have a fairy-tale atmosphere and many, many details. She has won Zilveren Penseel awards, for De sprookjes van Grimm (2005) and Nederland (2012), and a Gouden Penseel for Sinterklaas, in 2008.
