Dutch Foundation for Literature nominated
International Literary Translation Initiative Award
19 March 2015
Each year the London Book Fair hands out awards in a number of categories as part of its International Excellence Awards program. We’re very proud to announce that the Dutch Foundation for Literature has made the shortlist for this year’s International Literary Translation Initiative Award.
We’re in good company, besides the Dutch Foundation both Asymptote Journal from Taiwan and the Chinese Paper Republic have been nominated for the International Literary Translation Initiative Award 2015.
The London Book Fair awards, which are held in partnership with The UK Publishers Association, celebrate success in 18 categories, representing the breadth of the international publishing industry. The awards will be presented at a gala evening in London on April the 14th, which will be hosted by the BBC’s Gavin Esler.
A total of six initiatives from the Low Countries, the Netherlands and Flemish Belgium, received nominations for the shortlist: Elsevier Science Direct (in the category Accessible Books Consortium Award for Accessible Publishing - Publisher), BooXtream (in two categories: Accessible Books Consortium Award for Accessible Publishing - Initiative and Publishers Weekly International Book Industry Technology Supplier Award), and the Belgian publishing houses Van In (International Educational Learning Resources Award) and Clavis (International Trade Children’s and Young Adult Publisher Award).
