The Dutch Foundation for Literature, Crossing Border festival & Brody Studios, Budapest present Café Amsterdam Budapest.
Drop in at ‘Café Amsterdam’ for three nights of debates, interviews, movies and music, with well-known and up-and-coming authors and musicians. Come by for a night devoted to the graphic novel with the melancholic but funny American artist Ben Katchor, or a lively discussion with German novelist Timur Vermes and Dutch bestselling author Arnon Grunberg. Attend an interview about family ties with novelist Toine Heijmans and listen in to a conversation between Gábor Csordás and Frank Westerman about idealism and utopias. Enjoy the music of brilliant singer-songwriter Dyzack, and see for yourself what Dutch professor Douwe Draaisma has to say about your memory – plus many more exciting events! Take note of the dates and come along to feel the characteristic vibe of an Amsterdam café in Budapest.
Café Amsterdam is part of the Budapest Essentials Festival
