From Georgia. With Love?

20 February 2014

Writer in residence Dato Turashvili will give a talk at From Georgia. With Love? #1, a literary evening around Georgia and its art on Thursday February 20, in Flemish-Dutch House deBuren in Brussel.

With its Russian heritage and recent orientation towards the West, Georgia is a country that is very much concerned with its position in the Caucasus and the rest of the world. This evening sheds some light on Georgia from various perspectives by writers Lasha Bugadze, Dato Turashvili and Frank Westerman; artist Filip Berte will be showing recent photos and literary magazine DW B will present a dossier around the legendary writer Erlom Achvlediani, translated and introduced by Ingrid Degraeve. Presentation: writer and journalist Julie Reniers.

The evening is English, Dutch and Georgian spoken. Reservation recommended.
