BCLT Literary Translation Summer School

Literary translators from Dutch into English are invited to sign up for the BCLT Literary Translation Summer School. The Dutch Foundation for Literature provides six full bursaries for (starting) translators. The BCLT Summer School will be held online, from 19 to 24 July 2021, and will focus on poetry. Please register before Monday, April 12.

The BCLT Summer School Dutch-English will be focusing on poetry this year. The workshop will be co-led by Dutch-Aruban poet Alfred Schaffer and award-winning translator Michele Hutchison.

The BCLT Summer School brings together writers and translators from around the world for a one-week programme of hands-on translation and creative writing practice. The core activity of the week is the literary translation workshops, led by experienced literary translators and editors, working from a range of languages (including Dutch) into English. The 2021 Summer School will be run online (19-24 July 2021). Applications close at April 12, 2021.
