From 1 to 4 April, the Italian city of Bologna is the center of children’s and youth literature, during the 56th edition of the ‘Fiera del libro per ragazzi’, one of the largest and most prominent children’s book fairs in the world. The Dutch Foundation for Literature will be present with a stand (E21 in hall 30) that is decorated with images from Vosje (Little Fox) by Marije Tolman, written by Edward van de Vendel.
The Dutch children's book ambassadors Hans and Monique Hagen will travel along to the fair to meet other international children's book ambassadors and Children's Laureates. Illustrator Sylvia van Ommen will report on events in the digital hall. This year she was also a member of the jury of the BolognaRagazzi Digital Award. Finally, on 2 April, the Foundation organizes, together with the Dutch children's book publishers, the 'Dutch Party' in the beautiful Palazzo Isolani.
