English Focus: Fiction

Amsterdam Fellowship 2018

10-12 September 2018

The Amsterdam Fellowship is an annual programme in which the Foundation invites international literary editors to come and meet their Dutch colleagues and familiarise themselves with Dutch literature. As the Foundation will have a prominent presence in the US and the UK in 2020, with many performances by Dutch authors at literary festivals and other events, three fellowships will focus on English-language publishing houses. In september a group of fiction publishers will visit Amsterdam.

The guests are Ellie Steel (Harvill Secker), Nick Sheerin (Serpent’s Tail), Anna Kelly (Fourth Estate), Maria Rejt (Mantle/Pan MacMillan), Daniel Seton (Pushkin), Molly Slight (Scribe), Paul Baggaley (Picador), John Siciliano (Penguin USA), Jenna Johnson (Farrar Straus Giroux), Sara Hunt (Saraband), Lee Brackstone (Faber and Faber) and Tynan Kogane (New Directions).

A non-fiction Fellowship will follow in november; publishers and editors of children’s books are invited January 2019.
