Upon invitation of the Argentine publisher Edhasa, graphic novelist Barbara Stok is in Buenos Aires from 11 to 14 October for the presentation of the Spanish translation of Vincent.
Barbara Stok (1970) studied shortly at the photo academy in The Hague, worked as a journalist, but eventually chose to be a graphic novelist. She has published more than ten graphic novel, including the autobiographical Toch een geluk (Happy Anyway), a graphic novel about happiness, stress and minimalism, in which she describes (among many other things) the making of Vincent, its huge international succes and how this influenced her. Translations of Vincent have been published (or are in preparation) in more than nineteen countries.
Publishing house Edhasa received a contribution to the travel expenses from the Dutch Foundation for Literature.
