On Thursday June 1 a large delegation of the Dutch Foundation for Literature will be present in Paris at Le Boekenbal, a gala evening inspired by the traditional celebration that opens the Dutch Book Week in March. For this evening, the most important Dutch, Flemish and French publishers were invited as well as tout cultural Paris. With the ball, Les Phares du Nord, the Dutch-Flemish literary program for the coming years will officially be announced.
Le boekenbal will be followed by a B2B event for French and Dutch publishers and copyright managers on Friday June 2. Both events will take place at the Atelier Néerlandais. Prior to the ball, a translations workshop Dutch-French-Dutch takes place on Thursday afternoon June 1 at Hôtel d’Avaray, the residence of the Dutch ambassador in Paris.
On both days Agnes Vogt, Barbara den Ouden, Bas Pauw, Lucette Chatelain, Mireille Berman and Tiziano Perez will be there on behalf of the Dutch Foundation for Literature.
