Mirna Funk (1981) is a writer and journalist. She was born in Berlin, studied philosophy and history at the Humboldt University and lives in Tel Aviv and Berlin. For her first novel Winternähe she received the Uwe Johnson award for literary talent. The Dutch translation of her novel (Winternabijheid) has been published by Atlas Contact in March 2016.
During her residency, Mirna Funk will participate in the the Literature Night. European writers on stage at Wednesday May 11th in theater De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam. Previously, Funk performed at the Crossing Border Festival 2015 in The Hague.
