Anita Terpstra (b. 1974) studied journalism and art history. In 2009, she made her crime fiction debut with Nachtvlucht (Night Flight), nominated for the Shadow Prize and the Crimezone website’s annual award. After Dierbaar (Beloved, 2011) and Overmand (Overpowered, 2013), her 2014 novel Anders (Different) took her popularity to a new level, a success consolidated two years later by Samen (Together, 2016), a dark story about the disappearance of four women.
