Nederlands Letterenfonds
Vanaf vandaag gaan het Fonds voor de Letteren en het Nederlands Literair Productie- en Vertalingenfonds verder als één nieuw fonds, het Nederlands Letterenfonds.
Per 1 januari 2010 is de juridische fusie tussen de letterenfondsen een feit en zijn de twee besturen opgegaan in één gezamenlijk bestuur. Hiermee is de belangrijkste stap in het fusieproces gezet. Het nieuwe fonds zal op volle kracht de reguliere werkzaamheden van beide fondsen voortzetten: het ondersteunen van schrijvers en vertalers en de promotie van de Nederlandse literatuur in het buitenland. Dankzij de steun van het Ministerie van OCW zal het zich daarbij versterkt richten op internationaal vertaalbeleid, non-fictiebeleid (oorspronkelijk en vertaald) en nieuwe ontwikkelingen in literatuur en boekenvak.
De komende periode zal worden benut om beide organisaties samen te smeden, nieuwe regelingen te ontwerpen, gezamenlijk een nieuw pand te betrekken en een nieuwe huisstijl voor drukwerk en website te ontwikkelen. Dit alles onder de regie van een stuurgroep bestaande uit Ernst Bruinsma, Rien Verhoef, Greetje van den Bergh en Henk Pröpper (woordvoerder).
Alle bestaande regelingen blijven bestaan. Totdat er een nieuw pand is betrokken kunt u zich wenden tot de bekende adressen en de bekende websites en telefoonnummers gebruiken.
Dutch Foundation for Literature
From today onward, the Foundation for the Production and Translation of Dutch Literature (NLPVF) and Fonds voor de Letteren (FvdL) will be known as a single new foundation – the Dutch Foundation for Literature.
As of 1 January 2010, the legal merger between the literary foundations can be regarded as an accomplished fact. The two executive committees have combined to form a single board of administrators. With this, the most important step in the fusion process has been taken. Without interruption, the new foundation will continue the regular tasks of both foundations: supporting writers and translators and the promotion of Dutch literature abroad. Thanks to backing from the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Foundation can direct its efforts with renewed vigour to international translation policy, non-fiction policy (both original and translated) and new developments in literature and the book profession.
The coming period will be used to mould the two organizations into one, to formulate new regulations, to occupy new premises in order to accommodate all the members of staff, to develop a new corporate style for printed matter, and to create a new website. All this will take place under the supervision of a steering group consisting of Ernst Bruinsma, Rien Verhoef, Greetje van den Bergh and Henk Pröpper (spokesman).
All current arrangements will continue to exist. Until new premises have been occupied, you can direct your communication to the well-known addresses, and make use of the known websites and telephone numbers.
