David Pefko

David Pefko (b. 1983) has a Greek father and once dealt in rags. He made his debut in 2009 with the novel Levi Andreas, which describes the relationship between Rosa, who works in a dry cleaner’s, and the charming con man Levi Andreas. In 2011 his second novel appeared, Het voorseizoen (The Preseason), about a lonely detective and his fateful love for a prostitute. The book was awarded the Gouden Boekenuil and sold 15,000 copies.
