Amsterdam and The Hague

Fellowship for French festival directors and curators

1-3 November 2017

Next year, the Dutch Foundation for Literature and Flanders Literature (formerly the Flemish Literature Fund) will focus on France and the French literary market with an intensive campaign entitled Les Phares du Nord. In close collaboration with the Dutch embassy in Paris and its literary specialist Margot Dijkgraaf, the foundations will organize a tour of literary festivals in France for a select band of Dutch and Flemish authors.

In the spirit of cultural exchange, fourteen French directors of literary festivals and curators will then pay a visit to Amsterdam and The Hague. From 1 to 3 November, the French directors and curators will meet Dutch and Flemish authors and visit literary festivals and institutions in the Low Countries. The programme culminates in a visit to publishing network event The Addict at Crossing Border, The Hague’s international music and literature festival.
