The Netherlands guest of honour

The Netherlands will be guest of honour at the Filbo, the Feria Internacional del Libro de Bogotá 2016, which takes place from April 19th to May 2nd. The Bogota Book Fair ranks, after Gudalajara and Buenos Aires, as the third largest book fair for a general audience in Latin-America. The literary events will last the full two weeks of the fair and will include performances, presentations, interviews, expositions and workshops.
Dutch authors Cees Nooteboom, Mano Bouzamour, Tommy Wieringa, Maxim Februari, Janny van der Molen en Nanette Blitz (klasgenoot van Anne Frank), Ted van Lieshout, Herman Koch, Abram de Swaan, Roland Colastica (Curaçao), Rosabelle Illes (Aruba), Laura Quast (Curaçao), Marije Tolman and Sytze van der Veen, artists Philip Hopman, Jan Rothuizen, Angela Pelaez, Micky Hoogendijk, Rienke Enghardt, translator Diego Puls, and Eppo Van Nispen (director of CPNB, Collective Promotion for the Dutch Book) will participate. The Dutch guest of honour programme is organised by the Dutch Embassy in Bogotá (by by Lies Wijnterp and her project team) in cooperation with the Dutch Foundation for Literature and the Cámara del Libro Colombiana.
